Barack Obama continues to push his Socialist agenda on America. This time, it is through his nominee to the Supreme Court, Elena Kagan.
At first glance, it seems that Kagan would be an "OK" pick. It would be one liberal replacing another liberal on the court. Certainly, that's bad enough. But a closer look reveals some disturbing facts about Kagan, namely that she has a love affair with socialism.
World Net Daily reports that in her thesis at Princeton, Kagan lamented the decline of socialism in the country as "sad" for those who still hope to "change America." She asked why the "greatness" of socialism was not re-emerging as a major political force.
How scary is that? Someone with this sort of Socialist mindset should not be on the U.S. Supreme Court.
There's also Kagan's record as a major supporter of gay rights. She calls the military's "Don't ask, don't tell" policy "deeply wrong" and "unjust."
There are even reports that Kagan herself is gay. One columnist wrote that Obama "would please much of his base" by picking Kagan because she would be the "first openly gay justice." Obama officials, however, have denied the reports, saying Kagan isn't a lesbian.
I tell you, the more I read about Kagan the more dangerous she appears. From her history of supporting abortion to support for expansion of the president's regulatory power, she is clearly not someone I want as a supreme court justice.
A new online petition to the Senate opposing her confirmation begins gathering names today at www.wnd.com/elena-kagan I have signed it, and I hope many will join me to try to block this nomination.
