Obama Report Cards

I was cleaning out my desk drawers the other day, and I found a folder with some of my old report cards from grade school. I don't know why I've kept them all these years. It was interesting to look at them again. On one side, it has the letter grades for each subject. On the other side of the card, it has checks and minuses for conduct and a place for comments from the teacher. The comments were mostly positive, but there were a few bad ones. We won't talk about those right now.....

So then, I went online, and I was able to find some of Barack Obama's old report cards. (Just play along with me on this, OK?) His report cards revealed some very interesting things about our president. Take a look at what I found:

In the third grade, Obama made a 'F' in Geography.... Well, that explains why he thinks there are 57 states in the U.S. He didn't do too well in Grammar and spelling either. In fifth grade, he misspelled 'Corpsman' as 'corpse-man.' That explains a lot.

Obama has never been good at math. In the fourth grade, he never seemed to have enough lunch money and was always asking his classmates to give their "fair share" of their lunches so he could eat, too. Obama also flunked economics all through high school. No wonder the country is in the economic mess it's in!

Obama's report cards also had some interesting comments from his teachers. His first-grade teacher wrote, "Barack does not play well with others!" Hmmm.... That could explain why refuses to work together with Republican members of Congress. It also may be why he snubbed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu when he visited the White House.

Another teacher wrote, "Little Barack has difficulty concentrating on the task at hand and does not stay in his chair." Apparently, he STILL can't! He's always either traipsing around the world on a family vacation or is out on the golf course. Lately, he's been running from one campaign fund-raiser to another. Why can't he stay in the Oval Office and concentrate on running the country? (Wait, that might be a bad idea.)

This shows there's hope for all of us. Even if you had bad grades in school, don't worry. You, too, could become president one day!
