Life is full of decisions. From a young age to our dying days, we make thousands of decisions. Many of them — what to wear today, what to have for breakfast — are inconsequential. Other decisions — who to marry, who to vote for — are weightier and can set the trajectory of your life.
In the end, only one decision really matters: Will you make Jesus the lord of your life? I'm convinced that we're put on this planet for one reason — to discover who Jesus is and to make Him our lord and savior.
When God created Adam and Eve, He intended to be in close relationships with them forever. Sin separated them from God because God cannot be anywhere near sin. But God loves us so much that He sent Jesus to make a way for man to come close to Him again.
John 14:6 says, "I am the way, the truth and the way. No one comes to the Father except through Me."
Jesus is the path that connects man to God the Father. God gives us chance after chance to make the decision to choose Jesus as our lord. If we make that decision early in life, things will go better for us in life. There will still be trials and troubles, but God promises to be with us through them all.
God, in his forbearance, is patient in giving us time to make that decision, but tomorrow isn't guaranteed for any of us. Don't wait until it's too late.
If you haven't made Jesus your lord, do it today. It will be the best decision you've ever made!
