Jane Pitt wrote a letter to her hometown newspaper, saying Christians, like herself, should not refuse to vote for Mitt Romney just because he is a Mormon. I agree with that. I've heard people say they won't vote for Romney because he's Mormon. Well, I'd rather have a Mormon as president than a moron.
Romney is a good man. Jane Pitt says Romney is "a family man with high morals, business experience, who is against abortion and shares Christian conviction concerning homosexuality."
Her letter says:
"Any Christian who does not vote or writes in a name is casting a vote for Romney's opponent, Barack Hussein Obama — a man who sat in Jeremiah Wright's church for years, did not hold a public ceremony to mark the National Day of Prayer and is a liberal who supports the killing of unborn babies and same-sex marriage."
Right on, Jane! You've got it exactly right!
I wish Romney was a Christian. He is a Christian if he has accepted Jesus Christ as the one and only Lord and savior, but most Mormons never make that profession. Still, we shouldn't refuse to vote for Romney just because he's a Mormon. We should all get out there and vote for him. Look at the alternative!
Jane Pitt's letter ends with "I hope all Christians give their vote prayerful consideration because voting is a sacred privilege and a serious responsibility."
She's exactly right. Maybe Brad Pitt should listen to his mother. He could learn something!
